Those winners who are staying in the USA can change their status in the USA to LPR status if the time period allows them to do so. In the Green card visa lottery program there are no questions regarding your current USA visa. If you are a winner only you have to provide those things in the next stage of the green card lottery program. So if you are holding any kind of USA visa there is no problem to submit an entry if you meet the USA visa lottery eligibility.

USA Visa Lottery Interview.

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

The second letter which a USA Lottery visa winner had received does not guarantee that you will receive an American visa. The second letter was sent to you to say that you are going to have the visa interview on that given date. On the interview, you will have to your educational qualification and that you have sufficient financial resources to support yourself. If you have dependants as family members who may accompany you to the U.S then you must have enough funds to support them till you find a suitable job in the USA. This is to make sure that someone will help the USA visa lottery winner once they arrive in the USA if they are issued with the required visas.

People staying in the USA are allowed to participate in the visa Lottery program.

Monday, January 25th, 2010

People who are living temporarily or visiting to the USA are allowed to participate in this American Government’s annually held diversity visa lottery if they meet the eligibility for the country and education/work experience as per the DV lottery instructions.
If the person is married and has spouse and eligible children then he/she must include their details and their individual photo files too in his/her application form.

Being selected for the USA visa lottery program will allow the person and his eligible dependants to change their current status to LPR status, if they are living legally in the USA. If the primary applicant stays in the USA then he can contact the USCIS office to change his status to LPR when his case number is current, while his family must attend for the visa interview to get the immigrant visas under his winning.
Dependants too must apply for the American immigrant visa by paying the non-refundable visa fees and following the normal procedure in their country under the primary applicant’s winning. If for any given reason the visa is refused then the visa fee will not be refunded. Normally the visa fee is US$755 per person.
DV 2012 Green card application forms will be available online as E-DV entry around the month of October 2010 and will be available for a period of 60 days. Before or after this period the entries will not be accepted. USA visa Lottery winner’s Visas were refused at the visa interviews.

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

American visa lottery winners who had lost their visas at the interview for some given reasons are thinking what to do now. These DV Lottery winners were refused of their visa at the DV visa interview and lost their visa fees too. Because many of them thought that winning the lottery and going for the interview will give them the immigrant visas automatically. These American green card lottery winners forgot to read the DV lottery instructions and to understand the requirements for the eligibility for the American visa lottery. Most of them found out that many of their neighbors has gone to the USA under the Greencard lottery program. But they don’t know what kind of procedures they went through to obtain the US Visas.
Another thing is that many of the visa applicants know that their visas will be rejected. Even though they are going for the interview to try and get these visas.
But they forget about the visa fees which will not be returned back if they are rejected for any given reason. Then they used to go for the newspapers, web sites and blogs to start down how the US consular office cheated them of their hard earned money and giving bad opinion about the US Government while the fault is on them.
First of all your educational certificates must be perfect one and must meet their requirement as instructed with grade level and subjects.
Trying by work experience? Sorry very few people qualify through it. 99% chances to be rejected. You should have the work training from a European country or USA or Australia. While very few of the developing country ones or third world country work training will be accepted.
Some more reasons for the US visa lottery winner’s visa refusal.
Visa applicant’s information didn’t match with the online application details.
Marriage after applying for the lottery and the consular officer not satisfied with the marriage documents at the interview.
You have violated U.S Law while you were there.
Not found to be fit medically at the medical examination.
Not clean police report.

DV Lottery Scam e-mails target many innocent people.

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

DV Lottery applicants and those who didn’t participate in the American Green card lottery are getting the scam emails telling those people as they are selected as dv lottery winners. Many of these people even don’t know what American DV Lottery is. These scam email senders get their email addresses from web sites where member names are publicly visible. Also they buy email addresses from agents. Then they add the American Government official logos and other attractive images to lure the receiver to pay money in the name of the American visa lottery.
In the email they give some case number and some other details except the winner’s name.
An intelligent person can easily find out that the email is not for a particular person but for the whole people.
If you call their phone number or if you write them back they got your name with them and will start to call you to pay their money.
Once you send money to them your American dream will go shattered.
So don’t respond to them.
The American visa lottery requires you to pay money for the visas ONLY to the consular office on the day of your interview day.
If you are suspicious about the email don’t hesitate to contact us to verify it.

DV Lottery winners attending Visa interview without required documents.

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

DV Lottery or the Green card lottery winners are from the beginning advised to have their documents ready for the American visa interview. Specially those who are going for the interview must have their educational certificates from the authorities as instructed by the local US Embassy. For example the Sri Lanka DV Lottery winners must go to the Education ministry and must apply for their GCE original certificates. Once they applied they will be issued with a token to collect their original GCE educational certificates from the foreign ministry. But they must not collect their educational certificates according to the Colombo US Embassy. Instead they must provide this token to the consular officer on the day of their interview.
Like wise the Nigerian Green card lottery winners must take with them one WAEC scratch card on the day of their interview and must provide the scratch card to the consular officer.
Failure to provide the correct educational certificates will surely result in the visa refusal.
But some certificates like Police clearance may be submitted later as some countries police departments used to do work slowly and the consular officers know about them. So they may tell you to wait till and call back them once it is available. Like wise medical certificates delays too looked in favor of the visa applicants. Any how all the decisions will depend on the consular officer and his findings will result in rejection of the visa or will be given a little time period to provide the documents to issue the visas.
What we are saying to you is to respect the visa interview letter instructions and provide the documents as requested and get the decision on your visa.
Submitting fake documents will result in life long ban for all kinds of American visas and some time you may be prosecuted according to your country laws.

DV Lottery Photos.

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

DV Lottery photos for the upcoming US visa lottery program should be in color only. Black and white photos and mono color photos will not be accepted for the program. These photos can be taken in a digital camera and downloaded to your computer for uploading along with your DV Lottery application form. Like wise an image scanner too can be used to scan paper photos and make image files to upload with your DV Lottery application form.
It is always better to go to a photo studio or to a professional photographer and get the photo in digital file format as they are professional people and will have enough light for the photo object.
Those photos which are older than 6 months at the time of the application date is will not be accepted. The American DV Lottery authorities want to have new or recently taken color photos according to the given instructions in the DV lottery instructions. Those dependent people of the primary applicant too must submit their individual image files along with the DV Lottery application form.

Under the DV Lottery Visa what kind of jobs winners can take in the U.S.A

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

DV Lottery winners who had received the US Immigrant visa must use that visa to enter in to the U.S.A within the given 6 month’s period. Once they have registered with the authorities they can find and start any legal jobs that they want to do and earn money.
They may have good profession and work experience but if their jobs are not in the hot list then they have to wait for to find suitable jobs while doing odd jobs. Many immigrants are very good professionals according to their country standard. But once they reached the U.S.A they will find that their professional skills lack with the U.S.A standard. In that case they must go for the refresher courses and to be certified according to the American work standards. Many other professionals must have to sit for the Industry examinations to be certified to their profession and also should become as a member of their affiliated American body. Then only they can do their related professional jobs in the USA.
